We've scoured the eBird database to find information about birds near you. Now you can download lists of birds right into your Peterson Birds of North America app.

Your Favorite Places
Bird Finder lists are organized by location and state. From your Apple device, tap on a state above and then select a county. Look below for lists of eBird hotspots by state.
Every Bird Finder list includes frequency marks indicating how often birds have been recorded at this location. This abundance data is an aggregate of all sightings submitted to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology eBird database.
For hotspot lists, abundance data is available by month. Tapping "ALL" will add abundance information for the entire year to your list (see example image left).
Tapping "MAP" displays a Google Map of the location.

Simple to Use
Peterson apps automatically import Bird Finder lists. Just tap on the link and app does the rest. You can even email Bird Finder lists to your friends.
After tapping a link, you will see a screen with an option to 'Open in "Peterson". If you have both Peterson Birds and Peterson Feeder Birds installed, tap "Open in" and select the Peterson Birds app.

Abundance By Week
Abundance information is stored for every month, with four (4) marks roughly corresponding to weeks in the month (see Key on left).
